Our Trip to the Cabin!

The reason my blogging is so incredibly behind, is because last week Sam and I drove the kids up to Government Camp to see my family. It will be the last time we will all be together (and we were still missing my sister's husband) for 2 years, as my brother Alex has been stationed in Germany. I am hoping and praying that when he comes back he will choose Beal as a base. Its just 20 minutes from our house, and I would love a chance to get closer to him, be closer to him, and pick out a wife for him!
Our trip was successful, only Campbell and Mason and I stayed 3 days longer (YEA!) and we flew back. Yup, me and the kids by myself. However it was fantastic, way better than driving. And we all survived.
We had a wonderful time with my family, and I miss them already. And I can tell that Campbell misses them too, he is looking through the family book I made him (a book of pictures of my family) and looking at their pictures saying their names. We will have to go back soon.
Hopefully I will post more blogs today of life back at home, but time will only tell!
I will work on being consistent with my Sunday night blogging, as the kids are growing so fast and I want all to see what they are up too!

Driving in the car
Campbell, Annie, and Alex,
While I was going through these
pictures, every time Campbell
saw Annie, he shouted:
"Annie Annie" only it sounds like
"Ahnie"

And then every time he saw Eric,
he said EERIC! (two e's and everything)

Staying warm by the fire,
and is you ask Campbell what
it is, he says: NO, HOT, DANGER
My oldest brother Alex (I'm
the oldest, but he's the oldest brother)
holding little Mason, doesn't he
look sweet? Alex is on his way to
Germany as I type this...
lots of prayers for my brother-
he doesn't speak a word of German.

Pappy and Mason- smiling
at each other. Or Mason is
flirting, which she gets from the Aunt
pictured below!

My sis and Mason,
by the way Ash, when I went
to post pics, I selected the wrong ones
and at first some of those with you
and no makeup came up!

Getting ready for the snow!

Sledding!!!!!

He loves it!

Surviving March (sorry its late)

Its been a great week, we have luckily continued to avoid whatever sickness is out and about. Campbell had a fun week getting to play with his buddies Piper and Fiona.
Mason has continued to get bigger and sweeter. It is just going way way to fast!
She has moved on to smiling big time at her big brother Campbell. Campbell has learned how to put the binky in Mason's mouth just the right way. I enjoy seeing the two of them bonding.
Thursday we head up for Government Camp to visit my side of the family, the first time for Uncle Alex and Uncle Eric to meet baby Mason. And a perfect time for some much needed baby cuddling for all the Uncles and Aunt Ashley, and for Nona and Pappy.
Please pray for safe travels, we leave late Thursday night and will be driving straight through.
I will be posting next Monday, not Sunday, as Sunday night we will be driving 5 home!

Our visit to Muir Woods!

The three of us outside the entrance to Muir Woods- located outside of San Rafael.
Redwoods.
Sam and Campbell- halfway
through our hike on
Camp Eastwood Trail
1.9 miles- straight uphill!

Sam and Campbell stretching
their legs at one of the state
beaches on Highway 1. Muir Beach....

Campbell got real brave and ran
down with me right to the ocean,
but then a huge wave can crashing
in and he went racing back
the other direction.

Our first family picture.
At the top of Muir Beach,
at the overlook.
Muir Beach is behind us.
We had a great time, Campbell just loves the outdoors so much. And Mason was easy. All of us could have lived without the traffic on 101. But other than that, it was beautiful weather and a great trip!

Mason Marie, 9 weeks old

Mason is smiling a lot more, and smiling at Campbell which he likes. She is definitely becoming more social with all of us, and follows us with her little eyes throughout the room. I think she is still a momma's girl. She will always fall asleep right on my chest. She is a continual joy and blessing. She has started rocking a little on her tummy and I believe we aren't to far off from some rolling!

Campbell doing his favorite thing- reading!

February 26,2008
Campbell really loves books,
loves looking through them,
loves being read to, and loves
trying to read them himself.
He can already point out several
letters: A, F, K, M, B, R
He is just so smart.
